TMAC 2027: Story Lives Here

Travel Media Association of Canada | Kingston, Ontario | June 9–12, 2027

Showcase Kingston to Canada's top travel media

In June 2027, Kingston’s waterfront, historic streets, and vibrant cultural venues will become the stage for more than 100 of Canada’s most influential travel writers, editors, content creators, and influencers – creating national exposure for the people, products, and experiences that make our region unique.

Over 10 days of curated experiences, delegates will explore Kingston and Southeastern Ontario, producing compelling stories and social content to inspire audiences nationwide.

Sponsor the Conference

Partnering with Tourism Kingston connects your business directly with Canada’s top travel media and offers the opportunity to:

  • Showcase your venue, product or service through hosted events and experiences

  • Gain lasting earned media coverage in national travel stories

  • Build relationships with influential content creators, journalists, and industry leaders

  • Support Kingston’s visitor economy and tourism growth

Your partnership will also help:

Shape the narrative: Move Kingston beyond the familiar story by showcasing a more layered destination—creative, culinary, cultural, entrepreneurial, and continuously evolving.

Mobilize civic pride: Give local partners and patrons a reason to invest not only in the conference itself, but also in how Kingston is represented on the national stage.

Create lasting value: Use the conference as a catalyst for stories, relationships, partnerships, and future visitation that extend well beyond a single event.

Host a TMAC 2027 Local Tour

We’re inviting local tourism partners to propose half-day Local Tour experiences (3–4 hours, including transportation) that showcase Kingston through memorable, media-ready experiences.

Start with an experience you already do well — then tell us how you could elevate it for a travel media audience. Think special access, hands-on experiences, tastings, demonstrations, local experts, behind-the-scenes moments, or other opportunities that create a great story.

  • Strong concepts will offer:

  • A compelling Kingston story

  • Unique or memorable experiences

  • Strong photo, video or interview opportunities

  • Meaningful interaction with local people and places

Tourism Kingston will coordinate transportation. Partners are encouraged to provide in-kind support or low/nominal hosted-media rates where possible.

Submissions will be considered based on media appeal, uniqueness, storytelling potential, connection to Kingston, accessibility, feasibility and partner contribution.

Expression of interest deadline: September 18, 2026

Host a TMAC 2027 FAM Tour

To give conference attendees an authentic taste of our region, Tourism Kingston and our regional partners are developing a collection of curated pre- and post-conference familiarization (FAM) tours. We are looking for local operators, attractions, and hospitality partners to help us showcase the very best experiences our region has to offer. Partnering with Tourism Kingston to host a media tour offers your business the opportunity to:

  • Showcase your venue, product, or service directly to influential travel journalists, content creators, and media professionals.

  • Gain lasting editorial coverage and national travel features that elevate your brand profile.

  • Form direct relationships with key media figures and industry leaders.

  • Collaborate with regional destination marketing partners to support economic growth across Southeastern Ontario.

Selection Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on their media appeal, uniqueness of experience, alignment with conference messaging, regional representation, and partner commitment.
