Have you got a film or TV idea you can’t stop thinking about? Here’s your chance to pitch it live on the festival stage.
Kingston Script to Screen is a live pitch event at KCFF27, presented in a collaboration between the Kingston Canadian Film Festival and Kingston Film and Media. We’re looking for five project teams to present their original scripted or unscripted film and television projects to a panel of industry experts, in real time, in front of a live festival audience.
This is more than a pitch. It’s a chance to get your idea in front of people who know how projects get made, receive honest and constructive feedback on the spot, and sharpen your pitch skills in a supportive, high-energy room.
You don’t need a long list of credits, just a bold idea and the drive to bring it to life.
Five project teams will be selected to pitch live at KCFF27. Applications close December 1, 2026, 11:59 pm EST

Returning participants are welcome.
Anyone who has pitched in a previous year is encouraged to enter again.
Previous winners are not eligible to compete.
Individuals or teams who won last year’s contest are not eligible to compete this year but are welcome to return in future years.
Previous projects can be re-submitted.
Past projects will be allowed to be entered, but preference will be given to new or heavily revised concepts.
Teams are welcome, with a two-presenter limit
Projects may be submitted by an individual or a team of any size, but no more than two team members may present during the live pitch.
Currently reside in Kingston or within Quinte West to Cornwall (RTO9) region
Teams or creators submitting a project must reside within Kingston and RTO9 region or have attended post-secondary school in Kingston, or have previously lived in Kingston for a minimum of five years.
