Spend time in nature along Kingston’s hiking trails 

Spending time in nature helps relieve stress and has proven mental health benefits. There are a number of hiking trails in Kingston you traverse including: 

Located in the West End of Kingston, Lemoine Point’s 11 km hiking trail offers lakeside views and an abundance of greenery. Along the way you’ll encounter scenic lookouts and beaches. 

If you want to go for a longer run or walk, try K&P’s 22 km-long trail, featuring wetlands and vast, open landscapes. A map of the trail—accessible at multiple points around Kingston—can be found here. You can park your car around Confederation Park (209 Ontario Street) and start your journey there.  

Both Lemoine Point and K&P trail are free to walk, run, or bike on. 

Little Cataraqui Creek, located just 15 minutes away from downtown Kingston, boasts a diverse array of natural beauty including marches, fields, and forest habitat. The flat, easy terrain makes it the perfect location for an afternoon stroll. Little Cataraqui Creek has a gate fee of $3.50 for children and $5.00 for adults.

Start your Sunday morning on the right foot by heading down to the Memorial Center Farmers’ Market for a free, outdoor yoga class. Starting in the spring, Samatva Yoga and Better Balance Wellness provide classes starting at 10 am.
