To Labour, with Love Community Gathering Event

Human connection is important, now more than ever.

Join us on August 27, 2026, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at The Broom Factory in Kingston for an evening celebrating community, storytelling, and connection.

Experience the powerful documentary To Labour, with Love, followed by an intimate Q&A with director and film participant Kaycee Leigh, the Community Midwives of Kingston, and one of the local mothers featured in the film.

Enjoy live performances by singer-songwriter Mellow Lily and The Kingston School of Dance duo Winnie Seaby & Pippa Seaby, then stay for a community mixer with complimentary refreshments.

Whether you're a parent, an artist, a healthcare professional, or simply someone looking to connect with others, this event is an opportunity to share meaningful conversations, meet new people, and celebrate the power of local community.

Browse and bid on silent auction items and enter to win door prizes featuring contributions from local businesses, including Kingston School of Dance, Cher-Mère, Improbable Escapes, The Bathhouse Spa, The Screening Room, and many more community partners.

All ages are welcome. Please note that the film thoughtfully explores childbirth through authentic, non-graphic depictions (no nudity).

Free parking is available on site and on nearby streets.

Come for the film, stay for the conversation, and leave with new connections. We can't wait to welcome you.
