This concert features Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria in D Major, is one of the most celebrated choral works of the Baroque period, renowned for its radiant energy, vivid instrumentation, and soaring vocal lines. The work is divided into twelve movements, each highlighting different facets of the Gloria, or "Glory to God." Its vibrant, expansive sound is complemented by intimate moments of reflection, creating a powerful contrast between exuberant praise and meditative reverence. The second half of the concert celebrates new compositions as the Orchestra takes the stage to perform compositions from our very own DAN School students includingFreddy Baker, SinfoniettaTimothy Burgin, CatastropheHelena Cheu, Red Iron RiverElena Whittam, Ad AstraNoah Ullmann, Journey’s EndChristiaan VanZyl, Scenes from the Summit
