Back on Home Ice: Matt's Hockey Homecoming

On Saturday, June 13, former Kingston hockey player, marathon runner, and LGBTQ+ and disability advocate Matt Kenny will return to the ice with former teammates for the first time in over 20 years as part of Matt’s Hockey Homecoming & Community Pride Skate, taking place at the INVISTA Centre in partnership with Tourism Kingston.

Schedule of Events

• Matt’s Hockey Homecoming Game (Selkirk Icepad): 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
• NHL 4 Nations Cup Experience and Photos (Hall C): 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Youth Skills Workshop: Ages 12 & Under (Selkirk Icepad) with Vancouver Goldeneyes' Darcie Lappan and Dave McMullen: 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
• Inclusive Coaching Seminar (Hall A): 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• Community Pride Skate (Selkirk Icepad): 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Winnipeg Jet's star Gabe Vilardi Autograph Signing (Hall C): 10:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
• Community After Party at Red House West: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

All programming is free to attend and open to the public, though advance registration is required for the Youth Skills Workshop and the Inclusive Coaching Seminar due to capacity limitations.
