August 6, 20, and September 3 from 6 - 8 PM
For Adults and Youth Ages 13+
Join Ryan Ewing, the mastermind behind Pocket Thoughts Zines for a three-part seminar on zine making. In this seminar, you will explore ideas, create, and assemble your own zine, and collaborate with your peers to develop a group zine.
Supplies are provided and included in the registration cost, although you are welcome to bring your own items - like photos, newspaper clippings or magazines to use in your project.
Every attendee will leave with their zine, a copy of their peer's zines, and a copy of the group-designed zine.
About Your Instructor
Ryan Ewing, the creative force behind Pocket Thoughts Zines, has been creating zines in Kingston since the late 1990's. He is a writer, an artist, and a lover of pancakes. Over the last seven years, his zines have been enjoyed by readers all around the world. Ryan's zines are full of satire, deep thoughts, comix, poetry, and a whole lot of "Randomonium" (which is to say each page can be a surprise). Ryan loves hosting zine-making workshops, having previously hosted them at WritersFest, and at the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.
