Silk Road Diaries: A Modern Journey of Creative Exchange in China will share the story of Michelle Reid’s participation in the Silk Road: International Artists’ Rendezvous—an experience shaped by ancient history, vivid landscapes, and meaningful artistic collaboration. Over 40 minutes, she will guide you through travels to Dunhuang, Jiayuguan, and the awe-inspiring Mogao Caves, where the desert’s unique light and colour reshaped how she sees and paints. She will also reflect on the cross-cultural connections formed with artists from around the world, including an unforgettable impromptu collaboration using pigments mixed from local soil.
