Silk Road Diaries: A Modern Journey of Creative Exchange in China will share the story of Michelle Reid’s participation in the Silk Road: International Artists’ Rendezvous—an experience shaped by ancient history, vivid landscapes, and meaningful artistic collaboration. Over 40 minutes, she will guide you through travels to Dunhuang, Jiayuguan, and the awe-inspiring Mogao Caves, where the desert’s unique light and colour reshaped how she sees and paints. She will also reflect on the cross-cultural connections formed with artists from around the world, including an unforgettable impromptu collaboration using pigments mixed from local soil. This talk explores how these encounters, places, and shared creative moments have left a lasting imprint on her artistic practice, followed by time for Q&A.All Ages | By Donation/PWYC - $15, $25 or $45
All proceeds from this Artist Talk will generously be donated to Tett Centre for Creativity & Learning, making space for art in our vibrant creative community.
