Learn what we can offer:

To Youth Agencies and Organizations (12-29):

  • Bolster developmental options and experiences you can offer clients and participants
  • Totally free programming opportunities, value of $250/per day
  • Immersive leadership, followership, and team dynamics training
  • No-cost year-round training, including career and employability training & credentials   for the marine space (shipboard, shorebased, logistics, engineering, design, etc) 

To Educators and educational Institutions:

  • No and low cost summer activities that promotes personal growth - resilience, teamwork, empathy, and responsibility - while providing a judgement free space for socializing
  • A unique outdoor education option for youth interested in pursuing careers in education or outdoor adventure careers
  • A free, focused, skill development program operating weekends between November and May  

To Post-Secondary Students & Aspiring Sailors:

  • An amazing opportunity to give back to the community while learning about sailing and boating in a social setting
  • A fun, inviting place to socialize and meet new people across generations who share your curiosity and interest in our waterfront, on-the-water activities, protecting the marine environment, enjoying the shoreline, and exploration.
  • Skill development in yacht maintenance - woodworking & carpentry, engine maintenance, electrical systems incl. Off-grid marine systems, and much more
  • Access to our waterfront spaces, ships, yachts, and boats 

To Parents & Students: 

  • No and low cost summer adventures that focus on personal growth, making new friends, and having a fun, memorable adventure.
  • A pathway to improved confidence, direction and meaning through personal discovery
  • A “technology free zone” that encourages real-world interaction and detachment from technology reliance 

Come enjoy some snacks, treats, coffee, tea, and refreshments to wind down your Wednesday on March 11th. This will be a fun, friendly, engaging, and informative event that offers a welcoming introduction to opportunities available to work with Tall Ship Expeditions Canada, based in Kingston at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, as well as our program partner Ships-2-Shores, a community service and youth development program that offers FREE access to our programming!

Learn about how our programs can bolster your organization and programming outcomes, deliver positive, high-impact outcomes for youth, and provide young people with a warm, welcoming space to engage with Kingston's waterfront, gain experience and credentials, and meet new friends through volunteerism.

The St. Lawrence II is the first purpose-built Outdoor education sailing ship to be built in Canada. Our Kingston based charity has been delivering life-changing outdoor education and adventure programming since 1954, and we continue to be a leader, remaining at the forefront of program adaptation, participant outcomes & training, safety, and technology integration.
