    1000 Islands Parkway

    Located approximately 30 minutes east of Kingston, the 1000 Islands 
    Parkway is a 37-kilometre multi-use trail connecting Gananoque with 
    Brockville to the east. Parth of Ontario’s Waterfront Trail, it offers flat 
    terrain, an asphalt pathway, and takes you through small rural communities 
    such as Rockport.

    K&P Trail

    The K&P Trail is a 180-kilometre, multi-use trail for recreation and active 
    transportation. The K&P Trail within Kingston is 22 kilometres long, 
    with urban and rural stretches extending into Frontenac County. It offers a 
    range of scenic experiences through natural open landscapes, rock 
    cuts, wetlands, and historic Kingston.

    Lemoine Point

    In the west end of the city, you will find the Lemoine Point Conservation 
    Area. It has an accessible network of trails on the wooded Lake Ontario 
    shoreline. Tour on flat terrain, gentle rolling woodlands, and winding vistas 
    through marshland.

    This is a busy, active public conservation area that attracts many 
    pedestrians. Expect to encounter hikers, other cyclists, dogs, and wild 
    animals on the trails.

    Shoreline Lennox & Addington Route

    This relaxed route takes you from Napanee, following the shoreline of Lake 
    Ontario, and back. Enjoy the quiet countryside and sweeping water views. 
    On the road, you will find farms with fruit stands, vineyards, a brewery, and 
    picturesque historic agricultural buildings. This route is located 
    approximately 40 minutes outside of Kingston.

    Waterfront pathway

    Kingston’s waterfront pathway makes up 8 kilometres of the 3600-
    kilometre Great Lakes Waterfront Trail.

    Along the trail you will see many attractions including Portsmouth Olympic 
    Harbour, Kingston Penitentiary, Canada’s Penitentiary Museum, the Tett 
    Centre for Creativity and Learning (home to Juniper Café), the Isabel Bader 
    Centre for the Performing Arts, the Gord Edgar Downie Pier, Bellevue 
    House National Historic Site, Murney Tower, Newlands Pavilion, 
    PumpHouse Museum, Great Lakes Museum and the S.S. Keewatin, City 
    Hall, and Springer Market Square.

    Wolfe Island Routes

    Wolfe Island is the largest and westernmost island of the Thousand Islands, 
    offering a variety of cycling opportunities along country roads. Whether 
    you are focused on training or out for a leisurely ride, you’re in for a 
    picturesque ride through the rural community with a patchwork of farms. 
    For access to Wolfe Island, take the free ferry from downtown Kingston to 
    Wolfe Island.

    Many of these routes include stretches that run alongside country roads 
    where you can expect to encounter vehicular traffic.
