A partnership between Tourism Kingston and Lionhearts Inc., the Food Recovery and Redistribution Program addresses food insecurity in our community.
Tourism Kingston works with our accommodation and event partners to divert unused food from meetings and events. Kingston charity Lionhearts Inc. repurposes the unused food into meals, which it distributes in the community. La Tablée des Chefs supports the program with professional advice and provision of food containers.
Together, we tackle food insecurity by ensuring that unused food from tourism-related events does not go to waste.
