The Open Farms Harvest event at City Hall showcases food tastings prepared with love and attention by eight local chefs from Kingston and area restaurants as well as 8 regional beverage suppliers. It puts a priority on educating people on who grows our food and from where throughout Kingston and Frontenac County. Partnerships are created from 20 plus area farms and our chefs to create a culinary experience. Each restaurant will offer 3 plus more tastings to attendees on a handmade charcuterie board plate that they get to take home. This year we will also showcase Farmers Market vendors wrapped around the whole event at Springer Market Square. This exciting afternoon will also include 3 educational sessions: charcuterie and wine pairing demo; beer & local cheese pairing; and farm stories in a warm harvest setting with inviting seating, firepits and background music. Enjoy our unique event while learning the importance of showcasing local farm food and drink for a memorable taste experience.
