“Kingston is a hidden gem for the film industry. It’s not a hard sell – it’s so beautiful, and it has some very unique locations,” says Justin Cutler, Ontario’s Film Commissioner and a graduate of Film and Media Studies at Queen’s University.

Large productions aside, Kingston also has a rich history of film exhibition, independent filmmaking, and film and media education – and we’ll guide you through a selection of that history over several stops on the tour.

From student shorts to Hollywood blockbusters, experimental videos and passionate documentaries, Kingston continues to inspire films and filmmakers.
