Ah, patio season – the most wonderful time of the year! Sunshine, umbrellas, and cocktails! Let’s take a look at some of the patios in the Kingston area.

Downtown:

Baja Craft Kitchen

253 Ontario St. Suite A
Tuesday – Saturday 11:30 am – 3 pm

Baja Craft Kitchen is located on the corner of Ontario and Princess Street, offering a menu full of fresh craft cuisine and cocktails. The summer menu is built with locally sourced ingredients and the coastal vibe of southern California. Try one of their many specialty tacos.

Olivea

39 Brock St.
Open 7 days a week Lunch: 11:30 am – 4 pm | Dinner: 5 – 9 pm (10 pm on Friday and Saturday)

Craving Italian? Olivea offers traditional and contemporary Italian cuisine. This family-owned restaurant opened in 2008 and has quickly become a Kingston staple. The menu includes delicious antipasti boards with local cheeses and meats and the side street patio rests on Kingston’s Market Square.

Atomica Kitchen / Cocktails

71 Brock St.
Thursday – Saturday Noon – 10 pm / Sunday and Wednesday noon – 9 pm / Monday and Tuesday 4 – 9 pm

Atomica’s vibrant sidewalk patio is located downtown on Brock Street. Enjoy Mediterranean-style food with sharing plates, artisan pizza, pasta, Italian hoagies and more. They also have a separate plant-based menu and gluten free options for everyone to enjoy.

Stone City Brew Co.

275 Princess St.
Tuesday and Wednesday 3 pm – 12 am, Thursday noon – 12 am, Friday – Sunday noon – 2 am

Visit Stone City’s Princess Street patio for a refreshing brew from Kingston’s small batch brewery. The menu features fresh, seasonal dishes with local products. Stone City also offers a monthly concert series. Come on down for fresh food, great brews, and music!

Coffee and Company

53 Princess St.
Sunday – Thursday 7 am – 7 pm / Friday – Saturday 7 am – 8 pm

Located on the corner of Princess and King Street East, Coffee and Company allows customers to enjoy coffee, pastries, and sandwiches with outdoor seating in the heart of Kingston’s downtown. Grab a coffee, espresso, latte, or one of their specialty frozen drinks like the Polar Cappuccino.

The Caesar Co.

117 Princess St.
Monday – Thursday 11 am – 11 pm / Friday 11 am – 1 am / Saturday 9 am – 1 am / Sunday 9 am – 10 pm

If you are looking for a one of a kind caesar, look no further! The Caesar Co has eleven different specialty caesars to choose from and if you are not a caesar fan, try any one of their unique cocktails. Grab a caesar and a bite to eat on their downtown patio and listen to local live music on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Tir nan Og Irish Pub

200 Ontario St.
Monday – Wednesday 2 – 11 pm / Thursday 11:30 am – 11 pm / Friday and Saturday 11:30 am – 1 am / Sunday 11:30 am – 10 pm

Located beside City Hall, visit Tir nan Og’s patio for traditional pub fare. Feel the Irish spirit with great food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere. Check out their Instagram for a monthly list of live music.

Union Kitchen + Cocktails

184 Princess St.
Monday – Thursday noon – 11 pm / Friday noon – 1 am / Saturday 9 am – 1 am / Sunday 9 am – 5 pm

Check out Union’s downtown patio on Princess Street with for both brunch and dinner. Try their salmon benedict for brunch, or short rib sandwich for dinner, or a tasty espresso martini for after-dinner drinks. Union has changing daily features for appetizers, mains, and cocktails. Pan Chancho

44 Princess St.
Monday – Sunday 8 am – 3 pm

Find Pan Chancho’s patio just off Princess Street on the side of the bakery. Try one of their tasty treats or classic brunch options while enjoying the backyard patio vibes. Stop in the store on your way out to take home your favourite goodies like fresh baked bread, cookies, pastries, and more.

The Merchant

6A Princess St.
Monday – Sunday 11 am – 2 am

The Merchant is located at the end of Princess Street just steps away from the waterfront. Enjoy the patio outside an almost 200-year-old building. The Merchant offers pub fare, daily specials, and all kinds of beer, including local Kingston crafts.

Musiikki Café

73 Brock St.
Monday – Sunday 2 pm – 2 am

Sit back and relax with a beverage and a show in Musiikki’s back courtyard with great drinks and live music. Indulge in their fine whiskey collection and local craft beer options. Or enjoy roasted coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty coffees. Musiikii features artists locally, nationally, and internationally with live music every single night!

West end

Red House West

629 Fortune Cres.
Monday – Friday 11 am– 11 pm

Check out Red House West for good food and cold drinks on their dog-friendly patio. Red House West is located in the west end of Kingston just off Gardiners Road. Be sure to try their stuffed mushroom caps and sample from their amazing assortment of beer.

Skeleton Park Brewery

675 Arlington Park Place
Tuesday – Saturday noon – 7 pm

Visit Skeleton Park Brewery for cold craft beer on their patio. Try one from their heritage series, a seasonal brew, a limited-edition release, or a bit of everything with a flight. Everything in their taproom was brewed on site just meters from where you sit.

East End

Fine Balance Brewing Company

677 Innovation Dr Unit 4
Tuesday 1PM – 6PM / Wednesday – Friday 1 pm – 8 pm / Saturday noon – 6 pm / Sunday noon – 4 pm

Visit Fine Balance Brewery and Taproom to try a delicious local brew. Are you passionate about craft beer? So are they! Find your favourite brew and take one home with you. Find them also at Kingston’s Memorial Centre Market on Sundays.

Battery Bistro

Fort Henry National Historic Site, 1 Fort Henry Dr.
Thursday – Sunday 11 am – 5 pm

Check out the largest waterfront patio in Kingston in Fort Henry National Historic Site. Visit Fort Henry for daily programs and events and then soak up the sun at Battery Bistro while over-looking Lake Ontario, the Royal Military College, and the City of Kingston from the East side.
