FAQs
What are the guidelines for submitting photos?
- Do not submit photos that have (or could potentially have) copyright restrictions.
- Take high-resolution photos. 1080p photos are a minimum, but 4K photos are preferred.
- Submit photos in .jpeg format.
- Take photos of all areas of your property that could be used for filming, including interiors and exteriors.
- Where possible, take photos of multiple angles of rooms to capture the geographic layout of a space. For interiors, take a photo while standing at each corner of a room.
- Using a wide-angle lens or a 0.5 zoom on a phone is preferable; capturing the sense of space is better than focussing on individual details.
- Please avoid capturing any people or pets in your photos.
- Please make sure all photos are well-lit (not too dark or bright) and in focus (not blurry).

- You should receive a confirmation email from kfmc@reel-scout.com minutes after your submission. If you do not receive a confirmation email within the day, please email matt@tourismkingston.com to confirm submission of your location.

If a production reaches out to you and you would like assistance negotiating a filming rate, please contact joanne@tourismkingston.com
How often can I expect to have my property be used for filming?
- We can’t say how often productions will want to use your property for filming as it all depends on individual productions’ needs. A detailed location listing and good-quality photos will help increase visibility of your property for producers, potentially leading to more filming.
