Kingston Visitor Survey

Tourism Kingston is conducting a short visitor survey that will take approximately 1 minute for participants to complete. The company distributing the survey is Spreevel Analytics. Information collected from this voluntary survey will be used by Tourism Kingston to improve tourism services for 5.5 million annual visitors who spend an estimated $528 million annually in the local economy (2016 report).

Are you collecting personal information?

The survey does not request any sensitive personal information i.e. Name, detailed address, phone number or email. All responses are anonymous and no device ID or user device information is captured or stored.

 

What personal data are you collecting?

The survey requests the postal code from non-residents. Users have the option to skip this question and not provide the information. If provided, the postal code will be used to identify the city, state, and country of the respondents from publicly available data. All responses will be aggregated in a report.

 

What if I live in Kingston?

When residents enter their Kingston postal code, the survey will not continue. When reconnecting to the WIFI/network, the survey will not re-appear until 60 days have passed.

 

Can I opt-out of the survey?

Users can decide to opt-out of the survey at any point during the completion process and will not see the survey for another 60 days unless they clear their browsing history.

 

Can I still access the WIFI/Network if I don’t participate in the survey?

Yes. If users opt-out, they can still access the network/wifi.
