WORLD PREMIERE: Wani’/Lost at the Isabel

Ka’tarohkwi Festival of Indigenous Arts

Wani’/Lost
Join us for the world premiere of Wani’ / Lost by Lisa Cooke Ravensbergen. Wani’/Lost is an interdisciplinary performance ceremony that unravels how loss makes us not see ourselves. Developed from a series of embodied responses to questions of loss, Ravensbergen’s performance presents intimate acts of defiance, reclamation, and a call to the Good Life/ Bimaadiziwin.
A tawny mix of Ojibwe/ Swampy Cree and English/ Irish, Lisa is a multi-hypenate theatre artist based in Vancouver on unceded Coast Salish territory. A play-maker, Jessie nominated actor, dramaturge, writer, director, and dancer, she supplements her eclectic practice with the joys of motherhood and the delights of self-produced works. She is an Associate Artist with Full Circle: First Nations Performance, Playwright in Residence with Delinquent Theatre as well as a former Dramaturge in Residence and Associate Playwright at Playwrights Theatre Centre in Vancouver.
