Terre & Tradition brings together the culinary roots of Kingston and Northern Ontario in an intimate evening celebrating heritage, local ingredients, and flavour-driven cooking. Host Chef Dave Tosh of Dianne’s and Guest Chef Linda Loranger of Dida’s Gastropub will each craft courses that reflect Dianne's Acadian influences and Linda’s own Francophone/Northern Ontario heritage, using locally sourced, gluten-free ingredients.
The menu features dishes inspired by childhood memories and regional traditions: Northern bison bites glazed with haskap reduction and crowned with creamy goat cheese, pan-seared trout with sumac beurre blanc served with crisp matchstick fries and seasonal vegetables glazed in maple syrup, and gluten-free churros with cinnamon sugar, maple caramel, and locally made gelato.
Set in Dianne’s warm, inviting dining room, Terre & Tradition offers a celebration of heritage, local bounty, and the people who bring these flavours to life, inviting guests to enjoy an evening that is both heartfelt and memorable. This special evening includes live music by pianist Nicholas Jodouin-Lund. This event, part of a French-language music series, was made possible in part by funding from the Government of Ontario through the Francophone Community Grants program.
