Roots & Harvest: The Everly x Down Home Farmhouse

Roots & Harvest brings together two celebrated kitchens for an evening of seasonal, locally sourced cuisine. Host Chef Jamie Hodges of The Everly and Guest Chefs Joel and Hannah Gray of Down Home Farmhouse in Grey Highlands will each craft two courses, creating a four-course menu that highlights Ontario’s harvest and the farmers and producers behind it.

Ingredients from Salt of the Earth Farm will feature prominently, alongside select contributions from Joel Gray’s own farm sources. The menu is complemented by thoughtfully paired wines from The Grange of Prince Edward County, led by head winemaker, ensuring each course is enhanced by the character and terroir of Ontario’s vineyards. During the evening, Charles Summers of Salt of the Earth Farm will share insights about regenerative agriculture, the local food system, and the seasonal bounty that inspires each dish.

Set in The Everly’s intimate dining room, Roots & Harvest invites guests to experience the warmth and connection of family-style service, simple yet elegant cooking, and the stories behind every ingredient. It is a celebration of the land, the people who cultivate it, and the chefs who transform it into memorable, flavour-driven dishes.
