Springer Market Square will once again be transformed into an outdoor movie theatre for most Thursday nights this summer. The films will be projected on the inflatable screen parallel to Market Street in the Square. Movies will begin at dusk, about 7:30 for the features in June around 8:30 pm for the features in August. All movies are free! Bring your own chair!
The official Movies in the Square lineup for 2022 is:
- June 16: Rocketman (in partnership with Kingston Pride and ReelOut)
- June 23: Mean Girls
- June 30: West Side Story (2022)
- July 14: Pride & Prejudice
- July 21: Strictly Ballroom
- July 28: Black Soul (short film) and Hidden Figures
- August 4: Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
- August 11: Night at the Museum
- August 18: The BFG
- August 25: Blinded by the Light
- September 1: Encanto
