Kingston WritersFest is an annual literary festival that takes place September 28 to October 2 at the Holiday Inn Kingston-Waterfront.

Our programming includes another diverse festival with over 30 unique events for readers of every age and taste. We design with maximum audience participation in mind; with time for questions and a chance to engage with authors as they sign books.

We’ve included the stories of women, the stories of Indigenous writers, writers of different experiences, cultural backgrounds, and orientations.

This year’s themes explore social, political, and environmental activism, mental health and addiction, and social and racial identity.
